Kia ora, Welcome to Room 5's learning blog. We are a class of year 6 and 7 students at Ahipara School, in the Far North, Northland, NZ. Please leave a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment.
Today 5 teams from Year 5-8 competed in Far North Northland Mathex Competition at Kaitaia College. The year 5 team came 3rd and the year 7 team came second. Congratulations to all the students that participated.
A special mention goes out to Dylan, Ken, Mana and Tait from Room 5.
Kia ora Room 5, It's Hunter from your class. Mathex looked so cool, guys did so well! Maybe next time I might go? Also maybe next time you could add some more pictures in? Ka pai.
Kia ora Room 5, my name is Jaelyn - Marie and I am a year 6 student from Paihia School. I like your blog post because I liked that you’s wanted to participate in the mathex competition and great job to all of you’s. I also like the photo that you added because you’s look very proud of yourselves and I see that some of you’s got some chocolate. I haven’t done something like this but I would like to do it in the future. What was the trickiest maths problem you did?
Kia ora Jaelyn-Marie, thats's a very good question. I didn't go with my four students, so don't know what was the trickiest problem was. Maybe you could ask either Dylan, Ken, Mana or Tait from my class - Room 5 what the the trickiest maths problem they did was? Ngā mihi nui for your question, Ms Peters.
