Fun times with Matua Zion
Today Room 5 had an awesome game of Ki o Rahi with Matua Zion. They learned about playing fair, encouraging each other and playing as a team.

Link tag & Capture the flag
Today Kaleb, Izayah, Te Ariki and Cohan from Kaitaia College came to our school to do a P.E assessment with Room 5. They taught Link tag and Capture the flag and had lots of fun.

Te Hiku Manaiakalani Outreach Third Film Festival 2022
Our theme for the movies this year was “Northland History” The movies have been played on the big screen at the Te Ahu Cinema in Kaitaia on Wednesday 14 September 2022. This is one of the lucky movies to be chosen from our school. Congratulations to everyone involved in the production of this movie. Taonga Tākaro
Yesterday Matua Wiremu and his helpers Whaea Ange & Whaea Amy came to teach us Taonga Tākaro. They were awesome traditional Maori games using natural materials such as taiaha, rope, and rakau.

Team work
Today Matua Paulo came and taught our class games that relied on Teamwork. There was noughts and crosses using hoops and bean bags. Then there was a passing game where you had to pass the ball to your team mates but not the person on either side of you. It wasn't as easy as you think it would be, especially when Matua started adding more balls. .1
