Recently Rima Ruma have been learning about Jean Batten and her amazing life journey. Jean Batten was New Zealand's greatest aviator, celebrated around the world for her heroic solo flights during the 1930s. She was an inspiration! Rima Ruma participated in a Jean Batten Schoolkit and here are some photos of the activities we did and a slide deck created by some Rima Ruma students. We hope you enjoy:). Te wiki o te reo Māori
Last wiki Rima Ruma participated in a range of different activities to celebrate and learn Te reo Māori. We did things such as: saying karakia, listening to waiata, writing our Pepeha, writing books in te reo, map work - matching te reo place names on a map of Aotearoa, to playing Kahoot and Ko wai (Guess who). Our class even participated in the Māori language moment. We hope you enjoy!
