Kia ora, Welcome to Room 5's learning blog. We are a class of year 6 and 7 students at Ahipara School, in the Far North, Northland, NZ. Please leave a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment.
This week Room 5 students have been working hard and doing all sorts of different learning and sharing during lockdown. Here is some of their mahi and sharing, we hope you enjoy.
Hi Room 5 my name is Jade, I am a year 8 student at Paihia School. I really enjoyed your blog post about “ Learning in lockdown #2 “ I like your blog post about learning in lockdown #2 because, I like how you are learning all different things during lockdown and you are sharing them on your blog. I also like your blog because it has inspired me to try get all of my lockdown work complete and up to date. What did you enjoy the most about doing all sorts of learning activities during lockdown?
Kia ora Jade, Thank you for your lovely comment. Room 5 students enjoyed Google meets we had daily, seeing each other and playing Kahoots quizzes. Ma te wa, Ms Peters.
Kia ora Room 5 my name is Isabella-Paige and I attend Paihia School. I really enjoyed doing learning in lock down so I thought I would comment on this amazing post. I like how you have made a little slide show to show us some of your learning. I really liked your homemade face mask I wish I knew how to make one so I can make my own and wear it out. In lockdown I also did some learning it was hard trying to catch up with all my work but as the days went by I kind of got used to it. You have inspired me to try new things when we are in lock down again. When you were in lockdown did your class do Google Hangouts?
Mōrena Isabella, Ngā mihi for your comment. It's great to hear you're inspired to try new things, that's definitely the beauty of learning. During lockdown my class and I met everyday on Google Meets at 9am from Monday - Friday. What about your class, did you have Google Meets too? Kia pai to ra, Ms Peters.
Kia ora Room 5, It's Hunter from your class. I like how we put all the work slides up, they look good! Maybe next time we could add everyone in the class's work on there? Ka pai.
Ata mārie Hunter, Thanks for your comment. That sounds like it would be a good idea to get everyone's work up. I'll definitely keep that in mind if we're every in another lockdown. Haere rā, Ms Peters.
